An undergraduate girl student of a private Arts and Science College allegedly committed suicide by hanging in the rest room of the institution after being reportedly scolded and thrashed by a senior for not wearing NCC uniform for the Republic day celebration in the college premises at Adirampattinam, here today.
The deceased S.Sulochana (18), studying first year Bachelor of Arts (B.A) course in Khadir Mohideen Arts and Science College was found hanging in the rest room, after she was allegedly scolded and thrashed by senior NCC student of the college for not wearing the uniform to participate in the march fast.
Adirampattinam police have registered a case and are investigating. UNI XC VV ADB2032.
