Did Jesus Die in Cross? - No!!

Death of Jesus
Rome was ruling Judea and Roman Governor ordered the Execution of Jesus, without doubt entire responsibility is Roman. John 18:31 says that Only Roman Governor has the right to award Death sentence. As we see in Acts, Jewish Bishops had power for Blasphamy etc., but if the Punishment was JEWISH then death must be  by Stoning (Like Stephen in Acts) and other ways as mentioned in Lev24:16
Haning in Stake (Crucifixion)
Romans practises DEATH PUNISHMENT BY Hanging on a High Rise Scaffolding, mostly against Rebels against them.
The Criminal would be hung Naked - and after the death, and breaking of Neck bone- the skull must fall down, this would terrorise the Country and None would try to do the same Crime.

There is no cross, it is a wrong Translation.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crucifixion
Ancient Greek has two verbs for crucify: ana-stauro (ἀνασταυρόω), from stauros, “stake”, and apo-tumpanizo (ἀποτυμπανίζω) “crucify on a plank,” [3] together with anaskolopizo (ἀνασκολοπίζω “impale”). In earlier pre-Roman Greek texts anastauro usually means “impale.”[4][5][6]
The Greek and Latin words corresponding to “crucifixion” applied to many different forms of painful execution, from impaling on a stake to affixing to a tree, to an upright pole (a crux simplex) or to a combination of an upright (in Latin, stipes) and a crossbeam (in Latin,patibulum).[13]

The Criminal, who might have blood stains already while haning would be attacked by Wild birds such as Eagle.  The family of Criminal  Hanging Naked will feel shame. The Criminal due to Pain, Hungry and attack by birds Cries for few days and dies later, the Entire Town would hear and see and normally it takes 5 - 6 days for the death.
Even after death till Skull falls down after the Neck bone falls down the body cannot be brought down, No Decent burial is allowed. Hence the place of Execution is called GOLGOTHA Means Skull roles over.

JESUS Hanged on Stake
(Mt 27:32 – 44; Lk 23:26 – 43; Jn 19:17 – 27)
Mark 15:21 There was a man from Cyrene named Simon walking into the city from the fields. He was the father of Alexander and Rufus. The soldiers forced him to carry Jesus’ cross. 22 They led Jesus to the place called Golgotha. (Golgotha means “The Place of the Skull.”)
Above says that a 3rd person Simon of Cyrene carried, the main Wooden pillar on which Normally Hanged.
4th GOSPEL says JESUS Himself Carried it.

John 19:17 Jesus carried his own cross to a place called “The Place of the Skull.” (In Aramaic the name of this place is “Golgotha.”)18 There they nailed Jesus to the cross. They also nailed two other men to crosses. They put them on each side of Jesus with him in the middle. 19 Pilate told them to write a sign and put it on the cross. The sign said, “ jesus of nazareth, the king of the jews.” 20 The sign was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek. Many of the Jews read this sign, because the place where Jesus was nailed to the cross was near the city.21 The leading Jewish priests said to Pilate, “Don’t write, ‘The King of the Jews.’ But write, ‘This man said, I am the King of the Jews.’” 22 Pilate answered, “I will not change what I have written.”
WHO Arrested JESUS
Mark 14:43 While Jesus was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve apostles, came there. He had a big crowd of people with him, all carrying swords and clubs. They had been sent from the leading priests, the teachers of the law, and the older Jewish leaders.
4th GOSPEL says Roman Commander and Soldiers along with Jewish Guards.
John 18:3 So Judas led a group of Roman soldiers to the garden, along with some guards from the leading priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns, and weapons.
12 Then the soldiers with their Roman commander and the Jewish guards arrested Jesus. They tied him 13 and brought him to Annas, the father-in-law of Caiaphas. Caiaphas was the high priest that year.
21 So why do you question me? Ask the people who heard my teaching. They know what I said.” 22 When Jesus said this, one of the guards standing there hit him. The guard said, “You should not talk to the high priest like that!”  23 Jesus answered, “If I said something wrong, tell everyone here what was wrong. But if what I said is right, then why do you hit me?” 24 So Annas sent Jesus to Caiaphas the high priest. He was still tied.
Roman Commander and Soldiers must have come only on the order of the Governor and not Jewish Bishops. Roman Commander would take Jesus only to Roman Governor and not Jewish Enquiry.
JESUS AS PER Preaching advised to show 2nd Cheek if you are hit in one Cheek, see what he did. All Empty Talk.

Tamil Saint says -சொல்லுதல் யார்க்கும் எளிய அரியவாம் சொல்லிய வண்ணம் செயல். Kural 664
Translation: Easy to every man the speech that shows the way; Hard thing to shape one's life by words they say!.
Explanation: To say (how an act is to be performed) is (indeed) easy for any one; but far difficult it is to do according to what has been said.
Jesus was Hanged a Day before Passover feast

John 18:28 Then the guards took Jesus from Caiaphas’ house to the Roman governor’s palace. It was early in the morning. The Jews there would not go inside the palace. They did not want to make themselves unclean,[c]because they wanted to eat the Passover meal. 29 So Pilate went outside to them and asked, “What do you say this man has done wrong?”

Jesus was Hanged after the Day of Passover Meal.

Mark 14:12 It was now the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread—the day the lambs were killed for the Passover. Jesus’ followers came to him and said, “We will go and prepare everything for you to eat the Passover meal. Where do you want us to have the meal?”
Healthy Man do not die in few hours hanging in Stake is cofirmed here.
Mark 15:42 This day was called Preparation day. (That means the day before the Sabbath day.) It was becoming dark. 43 A man named Joseph from Arimathea was brave enough to go to Pilate and ask for Jesus’ body. Joseph was an important member of the high council. He was one of the people who wanted God’s kingdom to come.
44 Pilate was surprised to hear that Jesus was already dead. So he called for the army officer in charge and asked him if Jesus was already dead.45 When Pilate heard it from the officer, he told Joseph he could have the body. 46 Joseph bought some linen cloth. He took the body from the cross, wrapped it in the linen, and put the body in a tomb that was dug in a wall of rock. Then he closed the tomb by rolling a large stone to cover the entrance. 47 Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw the place where Jesus was put.

Josephus a writer and a Jew from First Century - tried to save 3 Friends who were Hanged in Stake and were brought down after 3 Days in Cross, He could save still One Person even after bringing down after 3 days  Hanging is given here.
Josephus’ References to Crucifixion

//And when I was sent by Titus Caesar with Cerealins, and a thousand horsemen, to a certain village called Thecoa, in order to know whether it were a place fit for a camp, as I came back, I saw many captives crucified, and remembered three of them as my former acquaintance. I was very sorry at this in my mind, and went with tears in my eyes to Titus, and told him of them; so he immediately commanded them to be taken down, and to have the greatest care taken of them, in order to their recovery; yet two of them died under the physician's hands, while the third recovered.//

How long was Jesus Hanging in the Stake?

Mark 15:25 It was nine o’clock in the morning when they nailed Jesus to the cross.33 At noon the whole country became dark. This darkness continued until three o’clock. 34 At three o’clock Jesus cried out loudly“Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani.” This means “My God, my God, why have you left me alone?”
Jesus was in cross around 6 Hours in Stake as per Mark- Story
4th Gospel John gives different Tale.
John 19:13  When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out to the place called “The Stone Pavement.” (In Aramaic the name is Gabbatha.) Pilate sat down on the judge’s seat there. 14 It was now almost noon on Preparation day of Passover week. Pilate said to the Jews, “Here is your king!”
4th Gospel John gives only 3 Hours in Stake, against Mark's tale of 6 hours.

Few Hours in Stake does not kill an Young man as proven clearly by Josuphus & Gospel Tales themselves

ஒரு சில மணி நேரம் மட்டுமே சிலுவையில் ஏசு இருந்திருந்தால், மரணத்தை விட மயக்கம் ஆகி இருக்கவே வாய்ப்பு அதிகம்.
