A special court in Chennai has framed charges against former minister Ma Subramanian and his wife Kanchana in a case relating to the alleged transfer of government-owned Sidco land using fraudulent documents.
The CB-CID police registered a case against the former minister under provisions of cheating, criminal conspiracy and offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act
The case relates to a complaint alleging that the former minister, while serving as Chennai mayor, misused his official position to facilitate the transfer of a piece of land allotted to S K Kannan at Labour Colony in Guindy to the name of his wife through fraudulent documents.
