D. Magesh Kumar, an IPS officer and Joint Commissioner of Police in Chennai, has been placed under suspension following a sexual harassment complaint from a woman traffic police personnel working under him.
Mr. Magesh Kumar is a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG)-rank officer. He was serving as DIG/Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, South, Greater Chennai Police, until December 2024 and was subsequently transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, North, Greater Chennai Police.
