KNR Constructions contract for SPKoil- Poonjeri cancelled

 KNR constructions was L1 for the phase-V of CPRR. Five contractors including L and T participated in the Japan bank funded project.

Tender published on Nov 25. Bid submission end - Jan 22, 11 am. Technical Bid opening Jan 22, 11:30 am. Financial bid opened only on March 9, 12:30 am (one week ahead of model code of conduct). KNR emerged as L1 quoting Rs 452 crores. Only one week window to give work order between March 10-15 as new works cannot be given after MCC. Work order not given -Govt change Sept 17: Tender cancelled.
