இறைவன் கோவில் நிதியை தமிழக அரசு - முறையற்ற நிதி நிறுவனங்களில் முதலீடு - ஹைகோர்ட் கேள்வி

The Bench of Justices G.R. Swaminathan and V. Lakshminarayanan made sharp oral observations. One remark that got a lot of attention was: “Then you are planning to empty the temple along with it?” This was in the context of concerns about TANGEDCO’s financial condition and the linkage with TNPFC. The judges also questioned: why temple funds should go to NBFCs instead of scheduled/co-operative banks, and whether the government was indirectly using temple funds for state financing. So we all know what happened and I think we all know how it going to affect the bandits Why this is becoming important This case could become a landmark one because it can define: how far the State can control temple surplus funds, whether temple money can be invested in state NBFCs, and what fiduciary standards apply to religious endowment assets. If the court restricts such investments, it could significantly impact how HR&CE-managed temple funds are handled in Tamil Nadu going forward. God bless
