Many librarians across TN told me that theywere yet to receive June's salary till July 17 and that some of them had not received salaries for the past few months.
Most of them say contractors (said to be binamis who obtained contracts in many regions in the different names by forming syndicate) are swindling EPF and ESI contributions of librarians. They said: To get our salary every month, we have to personally visit our municipality or corporation office under which our centres are functioning and get the bills prepared after obtaining approval for our attendance. After this, we have to send all the required documents to our contractor, who, even after receiving everything, transfers the salary with illegal cuts to our bank accounts after days of delay.
