TANGEDCO 25-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with the Adani Group at ₹7.01 per unit

 TANGEDCO did not sign any 15-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the Adani Group in 2011. Instead, in 2015, TANGEDCO and the Adani Group signed a 25-year PPA to procure up to 648 MW of solar power generated in Kamudhi, Ramanathapuram district. [1, 2, 3, 4]

• Tariff Revision: The projects missed their initial commissioning deadlines, which led to a legal dispute. Ultimately, TNERC upheld TANGEDCO’s decision to apply a revised, lower tariff of ₹5.10 per unit from April 2016 onwards. [1]
