He has complained dinner was never on the table when he came home from work and that she didn't do enough cleaning, washing and ironing.
He added towards the end of their marriage she locked her bedroom door and wouldn't make love with him.
In court papers lodged in the provincial town of Sonnino, in the Lazio region of central-southern Italy, Mr Altobelli said his estranged wife neglected his needs.
He said the couple, who have two sons Stefano and Franco, were happy together for 15 years. But he complained, towards the end of their marriage she lost weight, took more care in her appearance and began flirting with other other men.

Of his former wife, Mr Altobelli, a cheese factory worker, said: 'I would wake up at 3:30am to go to work and come back at seven in the evening. My children told me that dinner was never ready when they returned from school and they had to make do. For dinner I had to get by on pizza or cook myself.'
But speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Ms del Bono hit back at her former husband.
She said: 'I have always taken care of the house and looked after the children. As far as I'm concerned I have done nothing to him. I am a peaceful woman.'
Mr Altobelli, sought justice against his former wife because she mistreated him before they separated two years ago.
He said: 'The fact that she did not prepare lunch for our kids is only a small detail. She used to beat us repeatedly, she used to throw bowls of cold water over my head, lock the door to the marital bedroom and call me 'handicapped'.'

'We no longer live together but I am still really afraid of my wife. She was evil, not because she didn't cook.
Mr Altobelli went on: 'I went to the police because I was exasperated. I am a good person, she was behaving like a man, and I was feeling weak like a woman.'
The former husband, who married Ms del Borno in 1994, said they met two years earlier after being introduced by a mutual friend and that they were happy together for years until she lost weight and became 'a different person'.
He told L'Huffington Post: 'She began to chat with so many men and vented with me and my children, was always angry.'
In Sonnino the bitter feud that has led all the way to the courts is a hot topic for discussion.
'It's a scandal,' said a barista who runs a coffee shop next to where the couple lived. 'Who knows what goes on inside a marriage. They seemed fine together.'
But a relative of Mr Altobelli, who declined to be named, said the conflict had been 'blown out of proportion.
'We are talking about something that happened years ago. The Italian justice system is so slow it has just come up in court now.'
Marital home: Mr Altobelli said he brought the charges against his wife not just because she didn't do the housework. 'She used to beat us repeatedly, she used to throw bowls of cold water over my head, lock the door to the marital bedroom and call me 'handicapped',' he added

She faces between two and six years' prison if found guilty of the charge of 'mistreatment within the family' under Article 572 of the Italian penal code.
Mr Altobelli added: 'Will Anna be sentenced? It is good for her for the evil she has done.'
