Christ or Messiah means One who is Poured with oil in his head, i.e., that is Anointed. In Jewish practice mentioned of Anointing of King - Head Bishop of Jerusalem Temple and also Commander of Army in 1 Sam 10:1; 2 Kings 9:6 & Exo 29:5-7 etc., all of which stands for Human title, Nothing Divine, meant to say Chosen. Israel was always under the rule of Foreign Rulers, which made them hope for a KING from David line to throw out INVADED Rulers, and the Bible tale makes them Chosen land and Chosen People - but ruled by Foriegn ruler, they felt end of World, and before that ELIJAH Must come.
