KOCHI: A 38-year-old Christian priest was arrested on charges of sexually harassing an inmate of a child home at Valayanchirangara  near Perumbavoor.

The arrested has been identified as John Philipose, a native of Naranganam in Pathanamthitta. He has been serving as manager of the child home run by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church at Valayanchirangara.

According to Perumbavoor sub-inspector Honey K Das, the priest was taken into custody based on the statement given by the victim to Childline officials. According to the police, the incident came to light when the victim revealed the matter to the headmaster of the school where he is studying. Subsequently, the school authorities informed Childline officials. Later, a case was registered under various Sections of the Protection of Children from  Sexual Offences Act. The accused was produced before the court, and was remanded.

மாணவிகளை மிரட்டி பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்த கிறிஸ்தவ மதபோதகரை போலீசார் கைது செய்தனர்.

இந்த சம்பவம் குறித்து போலீஸ் தரப்பில் கூறப்பட்டதாவது:–

காப்பகம் 

திருவனந்தபுரம் மாவட்டம் பெரும்பாவூரில் ஆதரவற்றோர் காப்பம் செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது. இந்த காப்பகத்தை பத்தனம் திட்டாவை சேர்ந்த ஜோன் பிலிப்போஸ் (வயது 45) என்பவர் நடத்தி வருகிறார். மேலும் இவர் அந்த பகுதியில் உள்ள கிறிஸ்தவ ஆலயத்தில் மதபோதகராக உள்ளார். காப்பகத்தில் 15 வயதுக்கு உட்பட்ட சிறுமிகள் சிலர் தங்கிருந்து அந்த பகுதியில் உள்ள பள்ளியில் படித்து வருகிறார்கள்.

இந்த காப்பகத்தை சேர்ந்த 10–ம் வகுப்பு மாணவி ஒருவர் கடந்த சில நாட்களாக தான் படிக்கும் பள்ளியில் சோகமாக இருந்துள்ளார். மேலும் அந்த மாணவி யாரிடமும் பேசவில்லை என்று கூறப்படுகிறது. இதுகுறித்து மாணவியிடம் ஆசிரியை விசாரித்த போது பல திடுக்கிடும் தகவல்களை அந்த மாணவி கூறி கதறி அழுதார்.

பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் 

காப்பகத்தில் வைத்து அந்த மாணவியை ஜோன் பிலிப்போஸ் கடந்த 2012–ம் ஆண்டு முதல் மிரட்டி பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்ததாகவும், இதுபற்றி யாரிடமும் கூறினால் கொலை செய்து விடுவதாகவும் மிரட்டியதாக தெரிகிறது.

இதனால் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த ஆசிரியை சம்பவம் குறித்து பெரும்பாவூர் போலீசாருக்கு தகவல் தெரிவித்தார். சம்பவ இடத்துக்கு விரைந்த போலீசார் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட மாணவியிடம் விசாரணை நடத்தினர்.

கைது 

மேலும் இதுகுறித்து போலீசார் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து ஜோன் பிலிப்போசை கைது செய்தனர். அவரிடம் நடத்திய விசாரணையில் அவர் இதே போல் பல மாணவிகளை மிரட்டி பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் செய்ததும் தெரியவந்தது. இதையடுத்து காப்பகத்தில் உள்ள மாணவிகளுக்கு மருத்துவ பரிசோதனை செய்ய போலீசார் ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளனர்.
