Mann Nalam
We want to empower South India’s organic farmers

through grassroots partnerships that establish community gardens, deliver sustainable farming infrastructure, and expand the adoption of organic agricultural practices.

Farmer Support Action

Farmer Support

Led by students across the U.S. and India, Mann Nalam directly supports South Indian farmers. Our programs focus on building organic community gardens, distributing seeds and tools, and providing hands-on training to help farmers transition to sustainable agriculture.

Field Collaboration Action

Field Collaboration

Mann Nalam works closely with organizations like Saroma Foundation to identify struggling farms and implement real solutions. By working on the ground alongside farmers, we create sustainable, long-term solutions that go beyond temporary fixes.

Community Engagement Action

Community Engagement

We mobilize the global South Indian diaspora and local communities to fund our efforts and advocate for farmers. By turning awareness into action, we inspire communities to directly support farmers and drive long-term change.

The Mann Nalam Foundation is a youth-led public charity based in Coppell, Texas, United States (registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit) that supports organic farming and grassroots partnerships in South India. Because it is a U.S.-based entity operating outward or funding grassroots work rather than a domestic Indian entity registered to accept international or foreign funds inside India, it does not hold or require a Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) registration from the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Organization Details
  • Entity Type: U.S. 501(c)(3) Public Charity
  • Focus: Sustainable agriculture, organic farming education, and farmer advocacy in South India
  • FCRA Status: Not applicable / No Indian FCRA registration (as it is structured and registered primarily as an American youth-led non-profit organization)
