AIADMK’s Trichy north IT wing lodged a complaint against DMK MLA S. Kathiravan, alleging distribution of seven SUVs to party functionaries to influence voters. The complaint was submitted to district collector V. Saravanan and the ECI, seeking action under the model code. Kathiravan denied the charge, stating a private firm gifted the vehicles before the code came into force, and officials will seek his response.
