This is the account of a 31-year-old Hindu woman from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She alleges that a Muslim man befriended her on Facebook by posing as a Hindu and subsequently invited her to Uttar Pradesh to meet. There, she was held captive.
She was then forcibly converted to Islam and married off to a *Maulana* (cleric) who was 25 years her senior. Later, the *Maulana* divorced her via *Triple Talaq*. Following this, she was subjected to *Halala* and married off to someone else. In this manner, she was married five times and made to undergo *Halala* twice.
On May 5, the woman lodged a case at the Ankur Vihar police station against 16 individuals, including 13 named persons. The police arrested one of the accused on May 7.
