மதம் மாற்றுதல் ஏமாற்று வேலை!
மத மாற்றம், இப்போது தான் என்றில்லாமல், நீண்ட காலமாக, இந்தியாவில், குறிப்பாக, தமிழகத்தின் தென் மாவட்டங்களில் அதிகம் நடக்கிறது. ஆனால், அதே அளவுக்கு, நாட்டின் வட மாநிலங்களில் நடப்பதில்லை.மேலும், அரபு நாடுகளிலும், ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகளிலும், அநேகமாக மத மாற்றம் நடப்பதில்லை. வளைகுடா நாடுகளிலும், அதை ஒட்டியுள்ள, சில ஆப்ரிக்க நாடுகளிலும், மதம் மாறிய பலர், அந்நாட்டு அரசுகளால் கொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
முயற்சி செய்வதில்லை
ஆனால், தமிழகத்திலும், இந்தியாவிலும், மத மாற்றம் கட்டுப்பாடு இன்றி, நடந்து வருகிறது. மத மாற்றங்களுக்கு பல காரணங்கள் கூறப்படுகின்றன. எனினும், பிராமணர்கள், முஸ்லிம்களில் பெரும்பாலானோர் எந்தச் சூழ்நிலையிலும், தங்கள் மதத்தை விட்டு, பிற மதங்களுக்கு மாறுவதில்லை. அந்த பிடிப்பு, பிற ஜாதியினருக்கும், மதத்தினருக்கும் அவசியம் வேண்டும்.ஹிந்து மதத்தை வேரறுக்க நினைப்போருக்கு, சிம்ம சொப்பனமாக திகழ்வது, பிராமணர்களே. அதனால் தான், திராவிட கட்சித் தலைவர்கள், சில கிறிஸ்துவ, முஸ்லிம் மத அமைப்புகளின் தலைவர்களின் கண்டனத்திற்கு, பிராமணர்கள் இலக்காகுகின்றனர்.பிற மதத்தவர்களை, எந்தச் சூழ்நிலையிலும், ஹிந்து மதத்திற்கு மாற்ற, ஹிந்துக்கள் முயற்சி செய்வதில்லை.
ஆனால், ஹிந்துக்களை மதம் மாற்ற, சில மத அமைப்புகளைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள், கழுகு போல் வட்டமிடுகின்றனர். அந்த காலத்தில், மதம் மாற்றுவதற்கு என்றே வெளிநாடுகளில் இருந்து, இந்தியா வந்த சில கிறிஸ்துவ மத போதகர்கள், பாதிரியார்கள், தங்கள் சுயநல பணிகளுக்காக தமிழ் கற்றனர். ஹிந்து சமய தத்துவங்களை போற்றுவது போல் போற்றி, பின் கீழே போட்டுடைத்தனர். இவர்கள் செய்த இப்படிப்பட்ட வேலைக்கு, ஹிந்து மதத்தினர் சிலர் ஆதரவும் கொடுத்தனர். நாடு விட்டு நாடு வரும் பாதிரியார்கள், மத போதகர்கள் ஊதியமில்லாது பணி புரியவில்லை. கால்டுவெல் போன்ற பிஷப்புகள் கூட, ஊதியம் பெற்று தான் பணிபுரிந்துள்ளனர். இவர்கள், சம்பளம் போதாது என்று கூட, சில நேரங்களில் போராடியுள்ளனர். சுதந்திர இந்தியாவில் கூட, இந்திய கிறிஸ்தவ பாதிரியார்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள் போல, அரசு சம்பளம் பெற்றுக்கொண்டே, மத மாற்றும் வேலையில் ஈடுபட்டனர். இந்தப் பணிக்கு, இவர்களாக இட்டு கொண்ட பெயர், 'ஊழியம்!'
ஊழியம் செய்பவர்கள், சம்பளம் பெற்றுக் கொண்டு, மத பிரசாரம் மற்றும் மத மாற்ற செயல்களை செய்வது எந்த வகையில் நியாயம்... மொத்தத்தில், இச்சமயத்திற்கு ஆள் பிடிப்பு, வேலை, பணம், செலவு செய்து சம்பளம் கொடுத்து பிடிக்கின்றனர். ஹிந்து மதத்தில் இருக்கும் சிலர், அவர்களின் ஏமாற்று வார்த்தையில் மயங்கி, மதம் மாறி விடுகின்றனர். இதை தவிர்க்க, சில தகவல்களை, ஹிந்துக்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
ஆறுதல்
ஹிந்து சமய நெறிப்படி, கர்ம வினைகளை முழுமையாக அனுபவித்த பின்பே, இறைவன் பதம் அடைய முடியும். இது உண்மை. இதன் அடிப்படையிலேயே, உலக மக்கள் அனைவருக்கும் இன்பமும், துன்பமும் நிகழ்கிறது. கர்ம வினை, கஷ்டங்கள் ஏற்படும் போது ஆறுதல் கூறுவது போல, மதம் மாற்ற சிலர் முயல்வர். அந்த, மதம் மாற்றிகளின் மதத்தை சார்ந்தவர்களுக்கு, துன்பம் வருவதில்லையா? இயற்கை சீற்ற அபாயங்கள், விபத்துகள், கடுமையான வியாதிகள், அகால மரணங்கள், பல்வேறு தோல்விகள் அனைத்துமே, அனைத்து மதத்தினருக்கும் உண்டு. ஏதோ, ஹிந்துக்களுக்கு மட்டுமே இவை நேர்வது போல சொல்லி, அப்பாவிகளை மதம் மாற்ற முயல்வர்.
நோய்க்கு மதம் மாற்றமா?
ஹிந்துக்கள் வீட்டில் ஒருவர் சுகவீனம் அடைந்தால், அதை அறியும் மதமாற்றிகள், 'எங்கள் மதத்தின் மூலம் சுகப்படுத்துகிறோம்' என்று கூறி, தினமும் வருவர்; ஜெபம் செய்வர். மருந்து, மாத்திரை மற்றும் பூர்வஜென்ம புண்ணியத்தின் மூலம் நாம் சுகமடைந்தாலும், எங்களால் தான் சுகமானது என்று கூறி, மதமாற்றப் பணியை துவங்குவர். அதையும் மீறி, நோய்க்கு மரணமடைந்தால், 'இறைவனுக்கு சித்தமில்லை' என்று மத மாற்றத்தைத் தொடர்வர். மதத்திற்கும், மருந்துக்கும் சம்பந்தமில்லை. நம்பிக்கை தான் முக்கியம். எனவே, உடல் நலமில்லாதவர்களை குணப்படுத்த, அவர்களுக்கு, உங்கள் குலதெய்வத்தை அல்லது இஷ்ட தெய்வத்தை வணங்கி, திருநீறு பூசி விடுங்கள். கர்ம வினைப்படியே அனைத்தும் நடைபெறும் என்பதை நம்புங்கள்.
திருமணத்தின் மூலம் மதம் மாற்றம்
ஒரே சமூகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த, இரண்டு மதத்தினர் இடையே திருமணம் நடைபெற்றால், பெண் வீட்டாராக இருந்தாலும், மாப்பிள்ளை வீட்டாராக இருந்தாலும், ஹிந்து சமயத்தினர் மட்டுமே மதம் மாற்றப்படுகின்றனர். ஒரு திருமணம் தானே என்று மதம் மாற்றி, திருமணம் செய்து வைத்தால், மதம் மாறிய மகளோ தன் பெற்றோர் உட்பட சொந்தக் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த அனைவரையும், மதம் மாற்ற தீவிர முயற்சிகள் செய்து, அதை செய்து முடிக்கவும் வற்புறுத்தப்படுகிறார். இந்த அபாயகரமான, மதம் மாற்றம் நடைபெறுவதை தவிர்க்க, திருமணத்திற்காக மதம் மாறுவதை ஹிந்துக்களே நிறுத்தி விடுங்கள்.
ஏழ்மையை பயன்படுத்தி மாற்றம்
ஞாயிறு தோறும், கிடாய் இறைச்சியுடன் விருந்து படைக்கின்றனர். மேலும், பணம் கொடுத்தல் மூலமும், மதம் மாற்றம் நடைபெறுகிறது. கொடைக்கானலில் வசிக்கும், சில ஏழை, மலை ஜாதி மக்களை, மதம் மாற்ற, துாத்துக்குடியில் இருந்து பானை, சட்டியுடன் சென்று, கிடாய் இறைச்சி சமையல் செய்து போடுகின்றனர். அப்படி சாப்பாடு போடுபவர்கள், நியாயமான மனிதர்கள் என்றால் அதுவும் இல்லை. எப்படியாவது சிலரை மதம் மாற்றினால் சரி என்று தான் நினைக்கின்றனர். தங்கள் நிறுவனத்தில் பணிபுரிபவர்களை நிர்ப்பந்தித்து, மதம் மாற்றுதல் போன்ற இழிநிலையான மதம் மாற்றங்களும் நடைபெறுகின்றன. ஹிந்துக்கள் மன உறுதியுடன் இத்தகைய மத மாற்றங்களை ஒதுக்கித் தள்ளி தாய் மதத்தை நேசிக்க வேண்டும்.
மாணவர்களை மதம் மாற்ற முயற்சி
பள்ளி, கல்லுாரிகளில் படிக்கும் ஹிந்து மாணவ - மாணவியரிடம் பிற சமய ஆசிரியர்களும், உடன் படிக்கும் பிற மத மாணவ - மாணவியரும், ஹிந்துக்களின் பழமையான நாகரிகத்தையும், தெய்வ வழிபாட்டையும் குறைத்துக் கூறி, நம் ஹிந்து மதம் மீது வெறுப்பேற்றி, மதம் மாற்றும் சதிகள் நடைபெறுகின்றன. அவர்களுக்கு ஹிந்து மாணவர்கள் கூற வேண்டிய பதில் இது தான்.'ஹிந்துக்கள் மிக நாகரிகமானவர்கள். உங்களுக்கு முன்பே, சிலை ஏதுமில்லாமல், ஆகாய வழிபாடு செய்தவர்கள். அதற்கு உதாரணமாக, சிதம்பரம் நடராஜர் கோவில் இன்றும் உள்ளது. இறைவன், இறைவி விருப்பம் போல் சிலை வைத்தும், வைக்காமலும் எங்களுக்கு வழிபடத் தெரியும்.
'எங்களை நாகரிகமற்றவர்கள் என்றும் படிப்பறிவு இல்லாதவர்கள் செய்யும் வழிபாடு என்றும் எந்த வகையில் கூற வந்தீர்கள்... 'விஞ்ஞான மேதைகளும், மருத்துவ நிபுணர்களும், பொறியியல் துறை வல்லுனர்கள் பிறந்த மதம் எங்கள் மதம்; நாங்கள், பெருமை வாய்ந்தவர்கள்.'மேலும், 63 நாயன்மார்களும், 12 ஆழ்வார்களும் இன்றும் உலகம் முழுதும் போற்றப்படும், ஆயுர்வேதம், சித்த வைத்தியம் ஆகிய மருத்துவத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்த முனிவர்கள், ரிஷிகள் உருவாக்கிய மதம்.'எண்ணற்ற மகான்கள் வழிபட்ட ஹிந்து சமய தெய்வங்களை நாங்கள் வணங்குகிறோம். இவர்களை விடவும் நீ என்ன பெரியவனா... மதம் மாற்றும் உன் தந்திரம் என்னிடம் பலிக்காது. நீ போகலாம்' என, ஹிந்து மாணவ - மாணவியர் கூறலாம்.
நீங்கள் அனைவரும் நல்லவர்களா?
மேலும், 'எங்கள் மதத்தில் சேர்ந்தவர்கள், இறைவனால் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டு சிறப்பாக, நல்லவர்களாக வாழ்கின்றனர் என்கிறீர்களே, இது உண்மையா... இல்லை. உங்கள் மதத்தை சார்ந்துள்ளவர்களிலும் பொய்யன், திருடன், குடிகாரன், கொலைகாரன், முரடன், முட்டாள் என்று அனைவருமே உள்ளனர். ஹிந்துக்களை எதில் மிஞ்சினீர்கள்?
எங்கள் மதத்தில் சேர்ந்தால், உங்களுக்கு அனைத்துமே கிடைத்துவிடும் என்று உங்களை மதம் மாற்ற அழைப்பவர்களிடம் கேளுங்கள். நீங்களும், உங்கள் மதத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்களும் மதம் மாறியதால், ஹிந்துக்களை விட, எதை அதிகமாக பெற்று விட்டீர்கள்? ஹிந்துக்களை விட சராசரி வயதில் கூடுதலாக வாழ்கிறீர்களா; கல்வி கற்பதில், உயர்ந்த மதிப்பெண்கள் பெறுவதில் ஹிந்துக்களை மிஞ்சிவிட்டீர்களா; சராசரி பொருளாதாரத்தில் ஹிந்துக்களை முந்தி விட்டீர்களா? இல்லை தானே! நீங்கள் வேண்டுமென்றால் தாய் மதமான, ஹிந்து மதம் திரும்பி நன்மைகள் பெறுங்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்கு அழைப்பு விட வேண்டும். நம் மூதாதையர்கள் நமக்கு விட்டுச் சென்ற, தாய் மண்ணின் மாபெரும் சொத்து, ஹிந்து சமயம். அதை சூறையாட ஒரு நாளும் அனுமதியோம் என்று சபதம் ஏற்போம். மதம் மாற்றம் என்பது, இனி இல்லை என்று உறுதி செய்வோம்.

Court rap for IMA chief for 'propagating Christianity'
Source: PTIMazhab nahi sikhata apas mein bair rakhna,’ a Delhi court said while directing Indian Medical Association president J A Jayalal not to use the organisation's platform to propagate any religion, and cautioned him that loose comments cannot be expected from a person chairing the responsible post.
Additional district judge Ajay Goel passed the order in a suit filed against Jayalal for allegedly starting a defamatory campaign against the Hindu religion ”by way of promoting Christianity, in the garb of proving the superiority of allopathic medicines over ayurveda in treatment of Covid-19 patients”.
Citing articles and interviews of the IMA president, Jha sought a direction from the court to restrain him from writing, speaking in the media, or publishing any content which is defamatory to Hindu religion or ayurveda.
Noting that the suit seems to be an offshoot of a verbal duel with respect to allopathy vs ayurveda, the court said on Thursday that no injunction is required based on the assurance given by Jayalal that he will not indulge in such kind of activity.
”He shall not use the platform of IMA for propagating any religion and rather shall concentrate on the welfare of the medical fraternity and progress in the medical field,” the additional district judge directed in an order passed on June 3.
He further asked Jayalal not to indulge in any activity contrary to the principles enshrined in the Constitution of India and maintain the dignity of the position chaired by him.
The district judge pulled up the chief and said, ”Any kind of unguarded or loose comment cannot be expected from someone chairing the responsible post. IMA is a prestigious institution... such a platform cannot be used to propagate an individual's views on any religion.”
He also cited a couplet written by poet Iqbal -- ’Mazhab nahi sikhata aapas mein bair rakhna; Hindi hai hum watan hai Hindustan hamara; Saare jahaan se achcha Hindustan hamara [religion does not teach us to fight against each other. We are all Indians. Our India is the best.]’
‘The word Hindi in this couplet, written by a Muslim poet, does not refer to Hindus but is referred to all Hindustanis irrespective of caste, colour and religion, which is the beauty of secularism,’ judge Goel said in a seven-page order.
During the course of proceedings, the litigant told the court that Jayalal took advantage of his position for Christian missionary activities and also used the Covid-19 pandemic as an opportunity to convert medical students, doctors and patients to Christianity.
Rohit Jha added, ”Even in the criticism of ayurveda, defendant does not lag behind. He alleged that the Modi government believes in ayurveda because of its cultural values and traditional belief in Hindutva. He claimed that for the last 3-4 years, efforts are being made to replace ayurveda with modern medicine.”
Jha averred that an article of March 30, 2020, published in Nation World News read with a TV debate of defendant with Baba Ramadev on various TV news channels in May 2021, have seriously disparaged and denigrated his ”reputation in the society being a Hindu.”
Counsel for Jayalal, however, told the court that his client never uttered any remarks against Hinduism nor ever tried to force convert any Indian of any religion into Christianity, adding that the suit seems to have been filed at the behest of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
Jayalal told the court that he is not against ayurveda but against mixopathy.
This comes amidst the ongoing tussle between yoga guru Ramdev and the Indian Medical Association chief after the former's alleged comments against Covid-19 vaccination and the efficacy of allopathic medicines.
Terminate jobs of those who convert either before or after availing reservation benefits – Madras HC

While hearing a case on the illegality of employing a person without required qualifications, the Madras High Court has ruled that those who convert for reservation benefits should be terminated. The HC laid down rules for the universities in employing its staff, and one of them was about how people who change their religion yet avail reservation benefits (meant for SC Hindus) should be terminated with immediate effect once it is found out.
The HC was hearing a case on illegalities in the employment and promotion of a library staff in Bharathidasan University, Coimbatore. Gowthaman, who applied for the Assistant Technical Officer(Library) post in the university, was recruited by the management even though he didn’t possess required educational qualifications and experience and was promoted as Technical Officer later. His colleagues went to court challenging the promotion. While hearing their petition, the judge observed that many universities are indulging in such corrupt practices and laid down rules to be followed by the universities in recruiting their staff.
Justice R. Mahadevan who heard the petition instructed that the universities should follow a transparent process of recruitment and that they should display the name, educational qualifications, experience etc. of candidates in their official websites and notice boards before the final round of interview. If and when doubts about the qualification of an employee arise, it should be immediately investigated and disposed of within 3 months, he directed.
He further directed that if there were anomalies in the recruitment process, it should be cancelled with immediate effect and the salary paid to the undeserving employee must be recovered from the recruitment committee. The judge lamented how many deserving people lose chances because of such corrupt practices by the recruitment committee.
The judge also observed that the practice of using fake certificates to gain employment under reservation is prevalent, and if found out such people should be immediately terminated and the salary paid to them should be recovered from them.
He observed that ‘If a person who got the job under reservation converts to another religion either before the appointment or thereafter, the person would forgo the right to such appointment under the respective quota. The appointee would also forgo the right to continue in the post and the service of such employee must be terminated’.
As per the Constitutional (Scheduled Castes) Order 1950, a person who professes a religion other than Hindu Dharma, Sikhism, Buddhism shall cease to be a member of the SC Community. But many despite converting to Christianity and being baptised, hide their religion and keep SC Hindu certificates to avail reservation benefits. Recently advocacy organisation Legal Rights Protection Forum filed complaints with relevant authorities about Tamil politician Thol. Thirumavalavan who has admitted to professing Christianity. He contested and won the Lok Sabha election from a SC reserved constituency Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu.
This is prevalent in all fields and the court’s observation of the same in the university recruitment process reveals it. In this light, the judge’s instructions regarding people who convert before or after availing reservation benefits, comes as a breather to genuine Hindu SCs who lose the opportunity to fully benefit from the reservation system designed for them.
In February, the Madras HC had ruled that those who reconvert back to Hindu Dharma from Christianity are eligible for reservation benefits. When the issue of employing a Christian woman who converted back to Hindu Dharma and rejoined her old SC community came up, the court pointed out that the government order on reconversion allows such benefits. It ruled that, provided that the community accepts such conversion or reconversion, from Christianity to Hindu Dharma, SCs can avail reservation and other benefits accorded to them.
Both these rulings will play a vital role in weeding out the converts from usurping the rights of Hindu SCs and bringing back those who were converted by coercion and deceit.
