Members of the Chingleput Diocese Catholic Welfare Association (CDCWA) met police commissioner T K Rajendran on Tuesday and lodged a complaint seeking action against the first bishop of the diocese and two others for striking a fraudulent deal with the land mafia and selling 27 acres of diocese land in Kelambakkam and 53 acres in Irumbuliyur.
CDCWA president C X Dominic Savio, general secretary M Maria Lucas and Federation of Catholic Faithful chairperson Clement Selvaraj submitted the petition.
“The parish priest of St Fathima Church in East Tambaram A Cyril Raj prepared a fake letter dated July 22, 2010 by changing the name of Don Bosco, the administrator of properties for Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore, as John Bosco,” Savio said.
