பண்டைத் தமிழ் கல்வெட்டு, செப்பேடு, பானை ஓடுகள் உணர்த்துவது தமிழ் எழுத்துக்களின் மூத்த சகோதரி சமஸ்கிருதம்

 சங்க கால இறுதி முதல் உள்ள அனைத்து செப்பேடு, கல்வெட்டுகளில் அரசர் பெருமை கூறும் ஆரம்ப மெய்கீர்த்தி வாசகங்கள் சமஸ்கிருதத்தில் தான் உள்ளது. 

தமிழ் பிராமி சமஸ்கிருதத மொழிக்கு உருவான பிராமியை தழுவியே உருவானது.

Sanskrit has been always supported by many communities in Tamil Nadu since ancient times. It is a false propaganda to say that it belongs to a particular community. The charter of the Chithiramezhi Sabha of the Vellalars, inscribed at Thirukkovilur Perumal temple, testifies to their Sanskrit knowledge. It starts with a Sanskrit sloka like this

Hari: Swasthi Sri Srimadham Bhumi Putranam Srimad Koksheera Jeevitam

In this 12th century inscription, the members of the Chithramezhi Sabha state that they are 'sons of the earth, living on cow's milk, and desiring worldly good.'

The Tamil portion says :

ஶ்ரீபூமிதேவிக்கு மக்களாகி நிகழச் செந்தமிழ் வடகலை கற்றுணர்ந்து’

They are proficient in both Tamil and Sanskrit. So Sanskrit is no way alien to Tamilagam !
