Kerala Christian priest stabbed in Australia by an Italian Christian who shouted, "You are an Indian, you cannot say mass."
The priest, Tomy Mathew, was stabbed in the neck with a kitchen knife by the Italian man during the mass conducted at a Catholic church in Melbourne.
Moral of the story: you can convert to the religion of your former masters and accept their religion, name and attire, but you will never be them. Not even if you get a skin transplant.
Around 20 years ago, a Kerala Christian priest got a job to conduct the Sunday mass at a white church in Auckland, New Zealand. However, the parishioners complained they couldn't understand a word of what he was saying, and so he got the sack. This wasn't racism; just language barrier. He then joined another denomination, but there too he faced the same problem. The thick Mallu accent can be hard on the ears of Westerners.
Last heard, the priest had given up priesthood and become a used car salesman - the perfect job for an ex priest.
