இந்தியாவிற்கு பெருமை தேடி தந்துள்ள தனக்கு, அரசு வேலை கிடைக்க பரிசீலனை செய்யுமாறு கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளார். அதைக் கேட்டு அரசும் பரிசீலனை செய்வதாக கூறி அனுப்பி வைத்துள்ளது. இதையடுத்து முதல்வர், விளையாட்டுத்துறை அமைச்சர் உள்ளிட்டோருடன் எடுத்துக் கொண்ட புகைப்படங்கள் இணையத்தில் வைரலானது. முதல்வர் மற்றும் அமைச்சரை சந்திக்க செல்லும் போது, சம்பந்தப்பட்ட நபரின் பின்னணி குறித்து ஆராயாமலா இருந்திருப்பர்? அவர் வாங்கியதாக சொல்லப்படும் உலகக்கோப்பை போட்டி குறித்த தகவல் குறித்து சரியாக விசாரித்திருக்கலாமே?
எப்படி கோட்டை விட்டனர்?
இதுதொடர்பான அதிகாரப்பூர்வ இணையதளங்களில் தேடினாலே யாரெல்லாம் வீல் சேர் இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் அணியில் இருக்கிறார்கள்? அதில் தமிழக வீரர்கள் எத்தனை பேர் என்பது தெரிந்துவிடும்? புகைப்படங்களுடன் விவரங்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. அப்படியிருக்க மாநில முதல்வரை சந்திக்கும் போது, எப்படி சரி பார்க்காமல் விட்டு விட்டனர் என்ற கேள்வி சாமானியர்கள் மத்தியிலும் எழுகிறது. வினோத் பாபு ராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டத்தை சேர்ந்தவர். பல்வேறு மாநிலங்களில் நடந்த வீல் சேர் கிரிக்கெட் போட்டிகளில் பங்கேற்றுள்ளார்.
பண மோசடி
இந்நிலையில் வெளிநாடு சென்று 20 நாடுகள் கலந்து கொண்ட உலகக்கோப்பை தொடரில் பாகிஸ்தானை வீழ்த்தி கோப்பை வென்று வந்ததாக கூறியுள்ளார். இதை வைத்து பிரபலங்கள், தொழிலதிபர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட பலருடன் புகைப்படம் எடுத்துள்ளார். பண உதவிகளும் பெற்றதாக சொல்லப்படுகிறது. இந்த சூழலில் தான் முதல்வர் ஸ்டாலினை சந்தித்து நம்ப வைத்து தமிழகத்தையே அதிர வைத்துள்ளார்.
உளவுத்துறைக்கு புகார்
ஸ்டாலினை சந்தித்த விஷயம் பெரிதும் வைரலாக உண்மையான வீல் சேர் கிரிக்கெட் வீரர்கள் மத்தியில் சந்தேகம் எழுந்தது. யார் இவர்? உலகக்கோப்பையை வென்றுவிட்டதாக சொல்கிறாரே? உண்மையான வீரர்கள் இங்கே இருக்க, இவர் எப்படி கோப்பையை வென்றிருக்க முடியும்? என நினைத்து உளவுத்துறைக்கு புகார் கொடுத்துள்ளனர். அவர்கள் நடத்திய விசாரணையில் அடுத்தடுத்து அதிர்ச்சி ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.
வழக்குப்பதிவு
வினோத் பாபுவிடம் பாஸ்போர்ட்டே இல்லையாம். அவர் வெளிநாடு செல்லவில்லை என்பதும் விசாரணையில் தெரியவந்துள்ளது. கடையில் வாங்கிய கோப்பைகளை வைத்து கொண்டு பலரையும் ஏமாற்றி வந்தது கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது. இவர் மீது இந்திய தண்டனை சட்டப்பிரிவு 420, 406 ஆகிய இரண்டு பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் மாவட்ட குற்றப்பிரிவு போலீசார் இன்று காலை வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்துள்ளனர்.
Vinod Babu, a differently-abled person from Keezhachelvanoor near Kadaladi here was booked for cheating and breach of trust and among other criminal offences by the District Crime Branch Police on Thursday.
Vinod Babu had allegedly claimed to be the captain of the Indian wheel chair cricket team. He had collected money in the form of donations which included cash. Recently, he met Chief Minister M. K. Stalin in Chennai Secretariat, Minister Udayanidhi Stalin and showed them the “cup” received in Karachi and London, which was found to be fake, an investigation officer said and added that the differently-abled person had approached Minister Raja Kannappan, who had given him ₹20,000 as gift.
He had also taken gifts and donations, Dinesh Kumar of Chathirakudi said. The accused had claimed that the team comprised coach Ananda Packiaraj, Muniasami and others.
However, when the authorities in Chennai received a petition stating that Vinod Babu had “lied” by giving interviews to some social media network, inquiries revealed that he did not participate in such cricketing events. In fact, a senior officer said that the confessions showed that the accused had no passport.
Following a complaint from APJ Missile Para Sports Association president Saravana Kumar and Mr. Dinesh, Ramanathapuram district police registered a case. Further investigation was on.
PwD man cheats CM as wheelchair cricket team skipper; booked
Ramanathapuram District Crime Branch on Wednesday night filed a case against Vinothbabu, a resident of Keelaselvanoor, a village in Kadaladi taluk, after he was accused of cheating a businessman B Dinesh Kumar (34) of Annanagar, Chathirakudi, Paramakudi taluk. Investigations revealed that Vinothbabu took a sum of Rs 1 lakh from Dinesh Kumar, the complainant, saying he captained the team representing India, defeated Pakistan on its soil in Karachi and was going to participate in a twenty over (20-20) international Wheelchair cricket tournament to be held in London.
On March 23, Anand Pandiyaraj, a local man took Vinothbabu to a bakery at Peravoor ECR junction and met Dinesh Kumar, the businessman and sought financial support from him citing that Vinothbabu is economically poor and wanted to participate in the international game in March.
Pandiyaraj was also said to have taken Dinesh Kumar to Vinothbabu’s house in the village, where Muniyasamy was introduced to him as a coach. Dinesh Kumar, who believed them, decided to sponsor Vinothbabu and credited Rs 1 lakh to his private bank account on March 24. At last, Dinesh Kumar was told that the team led by Vinothbabu won the finals.
Moreover, Vinothbabu also gave many media interviews that he won the match and also met Chief Minister MK Stalin and Backward Classes Welfare Minister RS Rajakannappan and received accolades. Finally, the police found that Vinothbabu did not participate in any such game and took the money with the intent to cheat.
Based on the complaint, the Ramanathapuram DCB filed the case against him under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC, sources said.
