Last Saturday, the terrifying incident happened in East Burdwan village, about 170 kilometers from Kolkata. Renuka Khatun was taken to a nearby government hospital with a fractured wrist by her coworkers and her brother, from where she was referred to another Burdwan hospital. The family moved to two more nursing homes before transferring her to IQ City Hospital in Durgapur, 115 kilometers away, where she was admitted around 7 a.m., more than six hours after the crash.
