Kerala: Catholic priest in trouble for sharing sleazy video in Church group
The Vicar of Adakathodu Church in Wayanad has been asked to step down following huge outrage against him for sharing a sleazy video on a church WhatsApp group. The group consisted of a significant number of women and nuns with several members protesting his actions. A three-member committee has been constituted to look into the complaints and take necessary action.

Wayanad: Father Sebastian Keezheth, who is also the Vicar of Adakathodu Church of the Mananthavady diocese shared a sleazy video on a WhatsApp group consisting of a large number of women and catholic nuns. The sleazy video that he shared in the group earned the ire of a majority of the group members. Following protests, he has been asked to step down from his position as leader, as reported by IANS.Diocese spokesperson Sallu Abraham has said that a three-member committee will look into the matter and further action will be taken based on the committee's report.In another shocking incident earlier this year, a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by the priest of a church in Pathanamthitta, Kerala while she had come for prayers and counseling. Police have identified the arrested accused as Pondson John, who is the vicar of Koodal Orthodox Church in Pathanamthitta. The accused was arrested by the Pathanamthitta Women's Police and booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 for allegedly harassing and assaulting the girl.Following the incident, a complaint was lodged by the teacher of the minor, and on Thursday morning and the priest was arrested from his house. The complainant said that the alleged crime occurred between March 12 and 13.The victim was taken to the priest by her mother as she was reportedly weak in academics and was lagging behind in her studies. The priest brought the girl to his chamber for prayers at 8.30 pm, where he allegedly gave her a kiss and attempted to sexually abuse her.The next day, the priest again tried to allegedly harass the girl at her residence when he came for counseling. Following the alleged events, the girl revealed to her classmate that she was allegedly abused. The victim then approached the teacher, who filed a complaint against the priest.

Thiruvananthapuram: A Catholic priest, attached to the Mananthavady diocese in Kerala’s Wayanad district, has landed himself in trouble after he shared a sleaze video in a WhatsApp group consisting of large number of women and nuns.
Father Sebastian Keezheth, who is also the Vicar of Adakathodu Church of the diocese, was heading the Mathervedi Group whose members are drawn from a number of Achurches under the diocese.
The sleaze video that he shared in the group on Sunday came under fire from a large number of its members and following the protests, he has been asked to step down as director of the Group.
Diocese spokesperson Sallu Abraham said that a three-member Committee will now look into the complaints and further action will be based on its report.
